Is it normal 4 my hamster to squeak?

My sisters hamster is 2 and a half n last nite and tonite he has been squeaking. Also i noticed hes bin...em...excreting less. I lost my own hamster hu was 3 becuz he had kidney failure and im worried dis mite be d same. wat shud i do?
