Why do Americans have such a bad reputation?

We, Americans are for the most part, very proud of our country. We don't agree with all our government policies either, but that doesn't mean we are all bad. Many people from other countries see us all as our government policies dictate. We're not perfect, but I ask you, where on this Earth are all the perfect people? All people, all countries, all governments have faults, its when we can all just live together peaceably, then we got something going!
