Palmers Cocoa er Bronzing Tanner Stuff?

Okay i bought Palmers new GRADUAL tanning lotion and it has gone all streaky...its a nice colour but there are parts of me that are white and stripey, especially my arms. Any tips on how i can fix this? Or any tips for the future use of this product? Has anyone else got it? Did you have the same problem? Thanks x
