Were the first Christians Evangelicals?

Sola Scriptura is ridiculous. Evangelicals have put EVERYTHING into the Bible and they try to cite it when it makes no sense to do so. And they are very clever at twisting it to suit their needs, for example - Baptism is baptism. But because the people who wrote the Bible didn't specify that there needed to be a special verse for baptizing infants (as if there should need to be one in the first place), they have the nerve to call infant baptism "unbiblical". That is a baldfaced lie and intellectually dishonest. Baptism doesn't NEED to be broken down into age groups. It is what it is.
