Has there ever been a revolution where the people wanted more government, and more oppression and tyranny?

It seems too me that if you look back through history, pretty much all the revolutions that have occurred have been to liberate the people. Can you think of a time when people were fighting to make sure they could replace their freedom with a tyrannical dictator?
