How to secure my company's Data?

Good Day; I work for a company in Venezuela, the situation in the country is difficult and the government has expropriated several private companies. Once this happens you can’t go inside the office any longer. What we need is a way to protect all of our data, we use servers from the USA, so all our data is baked up and can be accessed but in site we use Microsoft Outlook in our computers to handle emails. We are worried that the information we handle falls in the wrong hands. What security measures can put in place to secure our data from anyone, and if necessary delete and clean our computers remotely. I’m open to any and all suggestions. Thank you in advance.
