Are Canadian votes and democracy threatened by the Canadian opposition, separatists and Ignatieff?
I refer to the Yahoo news article, "No turning back on election: Ignatieff", about the Canadian opposition leader and related parties, including the separatists, trying to overthrow the Harper government, using the guise of an early election. I wonder why my Canadian electoral vote and those of other loyal Canadians are being disregarded because they simply don't like the current government and the PM? If we allow this to continue, democracy in Canada is under threat. As Canadians our vote resulted in a period of government under Prime Minister Harper, regardless of whether or not we appreciate everything his government does or does not do. Mr. Harper and his party were democratically voted in and unless he is severely undermining the integrity, security and democracy of this country, which he is definitely not, the elections suggested by the current opposition are non-democratic. If the opposition is allowed to threaten the government based on the desire for power, ignore the will of the Canadian voters and side with the separatists, who have been trying to rip this country apart, then where does that lead us all? Treason comes to mind...
