Pricing Error by Online Merchant - Do I have a case?
I bought a plasma TV online using an airline's rewards program affiliated merhcant. I paid roughly $1750 for the TV. The transaction was completed and I got the receipt. The deal was good as the TV elsewhere is about $2300 so I thought I am getting a deal and jumped on it. I called the next day to confirm the order and they said that TV should arrive in two weeks. 11 days later after placing the order, I get an email saying they are cancelling my order and will not ship the TV because of a pricing error on their website. They returned my money and apologized and refused to honor the price. During this time of waiting; I purchased plasma mounts and got them mounted in my room and spent $350.00 in anticipation of the TV. So I suffer those damages. Surprisingly enough, they make another error and end up shipping the TV to me after all! Now I have the TV, they returned the money and I am only willing to pay the original price asked. We are in dispute. Do I have a case? District court?
